Starburst is a regional mentoring program for young people in regional and remote Queensland who are looking for an opportunity to get their creative ideas off the ground.

Through Starburst you can …

  • Find out about careers in the arts and creative industries.
  • Plan and organise a creative project.
  • Connect with other creative young people and organisations that can support you.
  • Talk to a professional working in the arts about what they do and how they got there.
  • Get things happening in your local area.

If you are …

  • 15-30 years of age;
  • Living in regional or remote Queensland;
  • Interested in music, art, craft, writing, theatre, dance, film or new media, putting on gigs or anything else creative; and
  • Running a creative project, wanting to get something off the ground, interested in working in the arts or needing to make industry connections

… then Starburst is for you.

The 2010 Starburst Regional Mentoring Program participants have been selected and will be annouced shortly.
